LIGHTSPEED SABER OPENS ON THE EAST COAST

I’m pleased to announce the inclusion of Aiken Lightsaber Club into the Lightspeed Saber Network! There has been a dearth of light-based fencing action in South Carolina, so headmaster Tony Negron has decided to go all in, joining Lightspeed Saber League and also accepting the role as charter rep for The Saber Legion. I cannot speak for Saber Legion but I saw some of his action in the Lightspeed format in a video a few days ago, and I think the newly dubbed DRAGON’S DEN is in good claws.

JOWANNA LEWIS AND TONY ZALDUA WIN LIGHT FORCE AWAKENS

Saturday, February 23 was a day of beginnings and ends.  As the first official Lightspeed tournament of 2019, it is the start of this year’s competitive cycle. This was also the first official tournament hosted by Lightspeed’s newest affiliate, Light Force Academy.  However, it is the end of an era, as Lightspeed moves to debut and implement it’s new ruleset for the remainder of the competitive season.
