A sequential team bout is called a skirmish. A team specifically setup for skirmishes is called a wing. All the standard individual fencing rules are the same in a skirmish.

STANDARD SKIRMISH

FORMAT

  • Team pool — every member of a team fences every member of the other team, one-on-one, one at a time, until all combinations are completed.

  • Every match in the skirmish goes until match point or match time is reached.

  • The team with the highest score at the end of the skirmish is the winner.

MATCH TIME

  • The match time of every bout in the skirmish is 1m45s plus the leftover time from the previous bout.

MATCH POINT

  • The match point of the skirmish starts at 8, then goes up by an additional 8 points every bout.

HIGHLANDER SKIRMISH

The rules of highlander skirmish are the same as Standard except every member of the team must use a different weapon class, and may only use that weapon class for the entire skirmish.
